In my book the main character Kaelyn is faced with leaving her best friend in the heat of an argument, but this is the least of her worries.  Frequent journal entries from Kaelyn describes her emotion towards losing friends, gaining friends, and also surviving a massively spreading respiratory  virus ending lives.  I lot of information in short notice? This is how the small island town on the east coast felt when symptoms of itchiness, and hallucinations resolving in death began to plague the island.  Caught between helping her father with the epidemic and trying to keep in touch with lost friends, life is tough.
